Origin of shipment Virtually all Sunrise goods originate in Nepal and are shipped directly to the customer for whom they are made. (A small -- but growing! -- pret-a-porter inventory is now available for immediate shipment from the USA. Also, we occasionally have a clearance items, either photo samples or color exchanges; these are generally shipped from our office in Ithaca, NY, USA.)
Rates Sunrise charges a flat rate of $14.50 per order for DHL shipping from Nepal. (For orders with multiple destinations, that fee is assessed for each address.) Pret-a-Porter items are shipped by US Priority mail to US addresses without charge. Shipments to other countries are shipped by Global Priority Express (where available) or by first class airmail for $14.50. For faster delivery, customers may choose UPS, FedEx, or US Express Mail; in each case, the customer pays the actual cost of shipment (no "handling fee"), except for US addresses, in which case the customer pays only the difference between the normal Priority Mail fee and the actual express fee.
DHL normally takes from two to four days.
DHL Delivery Terms In order to protect your order, DHL requires an authorized signature at time and place of delivery. DHL will not deliver to a post box. Nor will they leave the package by the door. If you cannot be on site to receive and sign for the package, you should make alternate arrangements; for example, you may have the package delivered to your workplace, provided someone there is authorized to sign for it. If DHL is unable to deliver the package as addressed, they will telephone you and ask for clarification or an alternate plan. If you fail to respond promptly to their request, they will return the package to Nepal. If, through your error, it becomes necessary to redeliver, you will be charged the full cost of DHL shipment, which is quite a bit more than our flat rate of $14.50.

Customs Sunrise Pashmina cannot be responsible for customs duty, V.A.T., or any other tax assessed on your order by the destination country. Less than 0.03% of our shipments have been held up for customs, generally (but not always!) extremely small fees. Please let us know if you have special instructions that you wish us to follow in order to minimize the risk of customs scrutiny as the package enters your country.
Returns Sunrise Pashmina wants you to be absolutely satisfied with your purchase. If by some horrible misfortune you are not, please contact us before returning your purchase. And above all, do not return anything to Tsering in Kathmandu -- the customs duty on these goods as they enter Nepal is more than the retail value of the items! Instead, we will give you directions for returning your purchase to our New York office.
